My first attempt at this is described as follows:
- Boil 8 cups of water.
- Pour into a glass or non-reactive container.
- Standing away to avoid the lime dust and fumes, pour in 8 oz (about 2 cups) of hydrolyzed lime, and mix (should dilute with no problem, mixing is just to make sure).
- Allow to cool completely before gently lowering in eggs. Pour off any excess liquid as the volume of the eggs start to displace the water.
